The Answers You Need Before You Break Ground

A key part of project planning is knowing what lies beneath the surface at a site. Fibertec’s Subsurface Investigation division offers private utility locating services, using ground penetrating radar (GPR) and radio frequency detection (RD) to provide you the information you need. Our experienced locators use an RD transmitter and receiver to locate conductive lines and a GPR unit to look for non-conductive lines. Using these tools utilities can be locate at depths of up to 12 feet below grade. With the right subsurface conditions both utilities and changes in geology can be detected:
